Terms & Conditions for DeskEra

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all purchases of computer desks and related accessories (“Products”) from DeskEra (“Company,” “we,” or “us”) via our official website or authorized sales channels. By placing an order, you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms provided at checkout.

1. Order Acceptance & Confirmation

  • Your order constitutes a request to purchase Products. We reserve the right to accept or reject orders (e.g., for incorrect pricing, out-of-stock items, or suspected fraud). You will receive an email confirmation once your order is processed; this confirmation does not guarantee shipment until a separate “shipping confirmation” is sent.
  • Customized desks (e.g., personalized sizes, materials, or engravings) require a 30% non-refundable deposit upon order placement. We will share a design mockup for your approval within 3 business days—production begins only after your confirmation.

2. Payment Terms

  • We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, and Affirm (for installment plans). All payments are processed in U.S. Dollars.
  • Prices listed on our website exclude applicable sales tax, which will be calculated based on your shipping address and added at checkout.
  • We reserve the right to cancel orders for unpaid balances or failed payment authorizations. For installment plans via Affirm, late fees or interest may apply per Affirm’s terms.

3. Shipping & Delivery

  • We ship exclusively within the contiguous U.S. (Alaska, Hawaii, and territories require additional fees—contact our support team for quotes).
  • Standard shipping takes 5–7 business days; expedited shipping (2–3 business days) is available for an extra fee. Delivery times are estimates and may be delayed by holidays, weather, or carrier issues.
  • You must inspect Products upon delivery. Report damages, missing parts, or incorrect items to us via email (support@deskeras.com) within 48 hours of delivery, including photos of the issue and your order number. Failure to do so may void our responsibility for replacements or refunds.

4. Returns & Refunds

  • Eligible non-custom Products may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund (excluding shipping fees), provided they are unused, in original packaging, and free of damage. Custom desks (per your specifications) are non-returnable unless defective.
  • To initiate a return, contact our support team to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns without an RMA will be rejected. You are responsible for return shipping costs; we recommend using a trackable carrier.
  • Refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days of receiving and inspecting returned Products, and will be credited to your original payment method.

5. Warranty

  • All standard desks include a 5-year limited warranty for frame structural defects (e.g., cracked metal, faulty motors for height-adjustable models) and a 1-year warranty for accessories (e.g., cable management trays, USB ports).
  • The warranty does not cover: (a) normal wear and tear (e.g., scratches on surfaces); (b) damage from improper use (e.g., exceeding weight limits, neglect); (c) modifications to Products without our approval.
  • To claim warranty service, provide your order number, photos of the defect, and a description of the issue. We may repair, replace, or refund defective items at our discretion.

6. Intellectual Property

  • All content on our website (e.g., product images, descriptions, logos) is owned by DeskEra and protected by U.S. copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify this content without our written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g., lost work, inconvenience) arising from Product defects, shipping delays, or order cancellations. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price of the affected Product.
  • We are not responsible for damages caused by improper assembly (follow included instructions or use our recommended professional assembly service) or failure to adhere to weight limits (listed on each Product page).

8. Changes to Terms & Dispute Resolution

  • We may update these Terms periodically; changes will be posted on our website and take effect immediately.
  • Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be resolved via good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in the state of California (per the American Arbitration Association rules) rather than litigation.
